What is Toptracer?
Toptracer provides the most advanced ball-tracking technology in golf. It uses the same technology that tracks and displays ball flight in real-time during the television broadcasts of tournaments on the PGA and LPGA Tours. It tracks ball speed, accuracy and distance of every shot, allowing there to be modes and games to suit all ages and skill level. With 6 games to choose from players can pick whether to play for fun or for practice.
How does the technology work?
Topracer shows the flight path of golf balls with valuable shot data in real-time tracking. Each golf ball hit on the range is tracked by custom-built sensors that provide real-time shot analytics, like ball speed, apex, curve, carry and more. The virtual graphics are animate to broadcast to your hitting bay.
Will it affect my membership?
Toptracer will not affect your membership. We will still honour all our commitments, if anything your membership just gets better now you have access to the Toptracer Range. We have even made range passes exclusive to members, giving you an extra perk!
Can I still use my range passes if I am not a member?
You will still be able to use all your previously purchased range passes. However to purchase new range passes you will need to become a Golf Central BNE member.
Do you have to pay for the Toptracer app?
The Toptracer app is free. It will link your personal profile to your entire shot history, including specific club performance details as well as how you rank against other players on leaderboards.
What if I have never played golf before?
Toptracer Range is suited to all levels! Whether you are a first time golfer and never picked up a club before or are an avid golfer there are games and modes to suit everyone. The Play District is perfect for people looking to have fun in a group, regardless of experience and skill Toptracer games are fun for everyone!
Can I learn to play golf using Toptracer?
Toptracer is great to track all your shot data and dive into the analytical of your swing, you can use the technology to monitor your progress and highlight areas of improvement! Golf Central BNE has PGA professional coaches, optimise Toptracer technology throughout their free Clinics, Private Lessons and Supervised Practice, meaning there is a teaching style suited to every level golfer! If you are a beginner we would recommend booking into our Try Golf FREE Clinics, where using Toptracer, our coaches will teach you the basics of the game!
Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?
At the play district rental clubs are included in the hour bay price. However, at the practice district it costs $5 to rent a driver, $2 to rent an iron.
How do I use the Public Putting and Chipping Area?
Our Public putting and chipping greens are open to everyone, no booking required. Simply use our range balls or your own. It’s a great way to warm up before a round or enjoy some casual practice with mates.
Do you have memberships?
Yes! We offer a range of Golf Central memberships designed for regular players and practice enthusiasts. Benefits include discounted buckets, retail discounts, special member events, and more. Check our Join Us page or ask our team to find the best fit for you.
What’s the difference between Buckets and Bays?
Our Practice district, bays 27 – 52 run on a first in first served basis. Here, buckets of balls ranging from 40, 65 and 105 can be purchased and used in conjunction with our Toptracer technology. Our Party Bays offer up to 6 people the use of private lounges, rental clubs, and unlimited balls all on top of our Toptracer technology, food & drinks service, and extra space. They’re perfect for a social hit, entertainment, or focused practice in comfort.
Do I need to book?
For the practice range (bays 27 to 52), buckets and the public putting/chipping greens. No booking is needed, just turn up. For our Play Bays including special packages, we recommend booking online in advance to secure your preferred time, especially on weekends and evenings.
Can I bring my dog?
At Golf Central, we love our four-legged friends and welcome well-behaved dogs to join their owners in designated areas. To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, please follow our dog-friendly guidelines: Designated Areas Only – Dogs are permitted on all grass areas behind bays 1-26 as well as on astroturf areas behind bays 27-52. Dogs are not allowed inside the clubhouse, Platinum Members area & Public Chipping/Putting Green. Lead & Leash Requirement – All dogs must remain on a lead and under control at all times. Retractable leashes must be locked to a short, safe length. Owner Responsibility – Owners are fully responsible for their dog’s behaviour. Any aggressive, disruptive, or excessively noisy dogs may be asked to leave. Clean-Up – Owners must clean up after their dogs immediately. Waste bags should be disposed of in appropriate bins. Consideration of Others – Please ensure your dog does not disturb other guests, staff, or animals. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our venue safe, enjoyable, and welcoming for everyone, both two-legged and four-legged alike!
